Mobile ultrasound services are available for patients who may have difficulty attending the SonoServ office because of reduced mobility, illness, advanced age or other circumstances.

Selected ultrasound examinations can be performed in the comfort of the patient’s home, providing access to diagnostic ultrasound while maintaining our commitment to professional, patient-centred care.

House calls are available by prior arrangement and are subject to the type of examination required, the patient’s location and suitability for mobile ultrasound assessment.

A doctor’s referral/requisition is required for all house-call ultrasound examinations.

Before Your House Call

• A doctor’s referral/requisition must be provided before the appointment can be confirmed.
• Please provide the referral and relevant clinical information when arranging the appointment so that we can determine whether the requested examination is suitable for a house call.
• A responsible adult chaperone must be present and remain with the patient throughout the ultrasound examination.
• Any examination-specific preparation instructions will be provided when your appointment is confirmed.
• Please ensure that there is a suitable, private and accessible space where the examination can be performed.
• House-call availability and applicable fees are determined according to the patient’s location, travel distance and examination required.
