Abdomen or Kidneys Ureter Bladder (KUB) Examinations

The Abdomen Ultrasound will assess the anatomy and structure of the abdominal organs – liver, pancreas, spleen kidneys and gallbladder, looking for possible cysts, masses, calculi, fluid collections or any other abnormalities in the abdominal cavity.

Preparation for examination:

Nothing to eat for 6- 8 hours before the scheduled appointment (Abdomen examination only).
No fatty or dairy products should be consumed within the fasting period.
Do not chew gum before examination.
Arrive for the ultrasound examination with full bladder or drink 4 glasses of water 1 hour before your appointment time
